Stripe Integration
To seamlessly accept payments using Stripe on Availabu, follow these comprehensive steps to set up and integrate your Stripe account with the platform.
Step 1: Create or Log in to Your Stripe Account
- Register or Sign In
- Visit the official Stripe registration page: https://dashboard.stripe.com/register.
- If you already have a Stripe account, log in.
- Verify Your Email
- Stripe will send a verification email to the address you provided. Click the verification link in the email.
- Activate Payments (For Live Mode)
- To enable real transactions, visit https://dashboard.stripe.com/dashboard.
- Click on the “Activate Payments” button.
- Complete the required legal and financial information to verify your account.
- Submit your details by clicking the “Agree and Submit” button on the summary page.
Step 2: Generate API Keys
- Test Mode API Keys
- For testing purposes, visit https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/apikeys.
- Copy the Publishable Key and Secret Key for testing.
- Live Mode API Keys
- After activating payments, visit https://dashboard.stripe.com/apikeys.
- Copy the Publishable Key and Secret Key for live payments.
Step 3: Configure Stripe Integration in Availabu
- Access Settings
- Log in to your Availabu dashboard.
- Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
- Enable Stripe Integration
- Locate the Stripe Integration option and enable it.
- Enter API Keys
- Paste your Publishable Key and Secret Key obtained from Stripe into the respective fields.
- Save Changes
- Click on the Save Changes button at the top-right corner to activate Stripe integration.
Step 4: Enable Payments for Services
- Edit Service Settings
- Navigate to Availabu > Services.
- Select the service you want to enable payments for and click Edit.
- Enable Stripe Payments
- In the service settings, enable the Accept Payments via Stripe option.
- Save Changes
- Click Save to apply the payment settings to the service.
Step 5: Test Your Integration
- Using Test Mode
- While in Test Mode, simulate transactions using Stripe’s test card numbers. For example:
- Card Number:

- Expiry Date: Any future date (e.g.,
12/34
) - CVV: Any 3 digits (e.g.,
123
)
- Card Number:
- While in Test Mode, simulate transactions using Stripe’s test card numbers. For example:
- Switch to Live Mode
- Replace the test API keys with your live keys to start processing real payments.
Handling Payments and Notifications
- Payment Status
- Payments made by customers during booking will automatically reflect as Paid in your Availabu dashboard.
- Pending payments can be tracked and updated in the Payments section.
- Customer Notifications
- Customers receive automated receipts and payment confirmations via email directly from Stripe.
Additional Notes
- Supported Currencies: Ensure the currency in Stripe matches your Availabu settings.
- Refunds: Refunds are processed through the Stripe dashboard. Refer to Stripe’s Refund Documentation.
