Services Settings
The Services Settings in Availabu provide the flexibility to create and manage your services with multi-level categories. This feature helps you structure your services for better organization and easier customer navigation during the booking process.
Creating Categories and Subcategories
- Add a Category:
- Click the + icon next to “Categories” in the middle of the screen.
- Enter the name of the category and click the Save icon.
- Add Subcategories:
- Click the + icon next to an existing category.
- Select the “Category” option, enter the subcategory name, and save.
- Add a Service:
- Click the + icon next to a category or subcategory.
- Select the “Service” option.
- A modal will open to configure the new service.
Configuring a Service
Each service requires configuration across four tabs:
1. Service Details
- Service Image: Add an image for the service to be shown during booking.
- Name: Enter the service name.
- Category: Automatically inherits the category but can be changed.
- Price: Specify the service price (e.g., 50.00).
- Duration: Define the duration based on your Time Slot Length in General Settings (e.g., 10m, 20m, 30m).
- Buffer Times:
- Before: Set additional time required before starting the service.
- After: Set additional time required after completing the service.
- Recurring Services:
- Activate this option for services that repeat over time.
- Configure frequency: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
- Set fixed periods and frequency limits, if applicable.
- Specify payment preferences: pay for the first appointment or the entire series upfront.
- Capacity: Define whether the service is for individuals or groups. Set the maximum number of participants for group services.
- Description: Provide a brief overview of the service visible to customers during booking.
2. Staff
- Assign staff members to the service.
- Add specific prices for staff if applicable.
3. Timesheet
- By default, services follow the business hours.
- To customize:
- Activate “Configure Specific Timesheet.”
- Define availability for the service.
- Use the Special Days submenu to adjust hours for specific dates.
4. Extras
- Add extra items to the service, such as add-ons or upgrades.
- Specify:
- Name and Price.
- Duration: Add extra time for the service, if applicable.
- Maximum Quantity: Define the limit for extra items.
Payment Method Configuration
You can assign specific payment methods to individual services. Navigate to the Settings tab within the service to configure this feature. This allows you to differentiate between services that require online payment and those that don’t.
Finalizing the Service
Once all details are complete:
- Click the Add Service button to save.
- Manage services through sorting, editing, or deleting options available in the dashboard.
