PayPal Integration

To seamlessly accept payments using PayPal on Availabu, follow these comprehensive steps to set up and integrate your PayPal account with the platform.


Step 1: Create a PayPal Business Account

  1. Register for PayPal
  2. Verify Your Email Address
    • After completing the form, PayPal will prompt you to confirm your email address.
    • Click the “Email you a code” button. A code will be sent to the email address you provided during registration.
    • Enter the code received to verify your email.
  3. Activate Your PayPal Account
    • After email verification, click the “Let’s Go!” button to begin the activation process.
    • Provide answers to additional questions and proof of your identity and business.
  4. Select Your Business Type
    • Choose your business type from the provided options (e.g., Individual or LLC (Single owner)).
    • Complete the relevant forms for your selected business type.
  5. Provide Business and Personal Information
    • Enter accurate information about yourself and your business or organization. Ensure all details are correct to avoid delays or rejection during the verification process.
  6. Submit Proof of Identity
    • PayPal will request documentation to verify your identity and business.
    • Submit the required documents and wait for PayPal to review and approve your account.

Step 2: Obtain PayPal API Credentials

  1. Access the Developer Dashboard
  2. Generate API Keys
    • Navigate to the API Credentials section.
    • Copy your Client ID and Secret keys. These will be used to connect PayPal to Availabu.

Step 3: Configure PayPal Integration in Availabu

  1. Access Payment Settings
    • Log in to your Availabu dashboard.
    • Navigate to Settings > Payment Settings > Payment Methods > PayPal.
  2. Enter API Credentials
    • Paste the Client ID and Secret Key into the respective fields.
  3. Set Payment Mode
    • Select the appropriate mode for your account:
      • Live: For real transactions.
      • Sandbox: For testing purposes using PayPal’s sandbox credentials.
  4. Save Changes
    • Click the Save Changes button to enable PayPal as a payment method.

Step 4: Test Your PayPal Integration

  1. Using Sandbox Mode
    • If testing, ensure the Sandbox mode is enabled in both PayPal and Availabu settings.
    • Create test transactions using PayPal’s sandbox tools.
  2. Switch to Live Mode
    • Replace sandbox credentials with your live Client ID and Secret Key.
    • Ensure the mode in Availabu settings is set to Live.

Step 5: Enable PayPal for Specific Services

  1. Edit Service Settings
    • Navigate to Availabu > Services.
    • Select the service for which you want to enable PayPal payments and click Edit.
  2. Enable PayPal Payments
    • In the service settings, enable the Accept Payments via PayPal option.
  3. Save Changes
    • Click Save to apply the payment settings to the service.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Ensure the mode selected in Availabu matches the credentials you’re using (e.g., Live mode with live credentials).
  • Check your PayPal account for any restrictions or unresolved issues.
  • Use PayPal’s sandbox tools for testing before switching to live mode.
